Subject: Politics goes to the dogs... Date: Tue, 25 Jun 1996 00:09:54 -0400 Strange, but true. (WhiteBoard News, 6/24/96) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Washington, District of Columbia: Even with the gender gap and the age gap breathing down his neck, Bob Dole plunged ahead and opened another potentially damaging rift in American politics -- the pet gap. "We're going to send Socks back to Little Rock, too," Dole told a Republican rally in Louisville, Kentucky. "And we're going to put a Leader in the White House. I have a schnauzer named Leader. Leader is going to replace Socks." The crowd, clearly flush with dog fans, cheered and whooped. But White House spokeswoman Mary Ellen Glynn could only lament. "Attacking Socks?" she said in mock disappointment. "That's below the collar." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PackyHumor: some idiotic, inane or otherwise confusing mail that packy, for no discernable reason, chooses to inflict on his friends. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
