A bedraggled and chalky spirit limps up to the Pearly Gates.

"What on earth have you been doing?" Saint Peter asks.

"Freshman calculus," mumbles the spirit.  "I taught it for thirty-five years."

Peter swings open the gate.  "Come right on in.  You've been through enough
Hell already."
