Even so, the latest episode with my son surprised me as to how different things are for kids today. Hours before Gore's concession speech, my cable TV feed went out, leaving us with nothing but snow and static on the screen. For my kids, this means that TV is now unavailable, so they find other things to do. I was not about to miss the historic event, so I headed to the garage, returning with some coax and a length of wire. My son, 5, watched with that "my father has lost his mind" look as I connected the coax and wire to an auxiliary input jack on the TV.
When I turned on the TV and a picture appeared, his jaw dropped! He was stunned! "You can get TV *out of the air*? How does this work?" He quickly got his sister to witness this apparent miracle, who was equally amazed. When I demonstrated that you could get more than one channel, my place in broadcasting history was sealed, at least for my children.
As a result of this impromptu experiment, I am convinced there will be a huge market among the 18-24 year old demographic for my new product, wireless television. Interested investors should contact me for a ground-floor opportunity in this exciting new marketplace!
