Ruth Middleton got this from the "Clean Humor Digest" <cleanhumordigest@topica.com>

Tuesday's dastardly attacks were not only on USA, they were attacks on the basic tenets of civilization. Take a moment and join in our prayers for the innocent people who lost their lives. May God give their families strength in this terrible times.

I am sharing two poems sent by two members of my list, Prose'n'Poems.

Hershy

I stare in total disbelief,
heart torn with instant grief.
Plumes of black smoke fill the air,
marking a building no longer there.
I close my eyes, I want to pray,
but my mind doesn't know what to say.
Much like Pearl harbor, so many years ago,
so many gone with one fatal blow.
There are no words to explain,
there are no words to ease the pain.
To those who gave their lives,
Mothers, Fathers, Husbands and Wives,
to all who's lives today did cease,
may your soul find instant peace.
We will honor you and the life you gave,
as a Patriot of "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave."

The Ring of Love

As our country has been invaded
We need to drop to our knees
To send a prayer to our Father above
To heal the scars of this dreadful attack.

Take it upon yourself to spread His Love
Love your neighbor, your family & God
He loves us all and with His Grace
He will see us through this terrible time.

Let your love of mankind all around
This land of ours we treasure so
To turn to the One who Loves us so
The Love of God cannot be matched.

Make a ring of Love around your world
The world of your friends young and old
Stand tall, be proud of our leaders, too
Remember, Love conquers all.

In Prayerful respect for the loss of
the dear ones on this fateful day of
attack on our treasured United States of America.
