Subject: A good, long walk

I'm very proud of the subscribers to this list. The response to my rants yesterday were overwhelmingly positive, and only one person actually complained about the message of tolerance I was passing on. Two complained about my signature line which criticized Falwell's initial take on the attack, but I stood by the sentiment that anybody who publicly that the tragedy which had befallen us was God's way of punishing us for not being HATEFUL enough must be either out of touch with God or a complete idiot.

One day after a nasty streak of bad weather, I asked my teenage son to take our dog for a long walk after school.

When I came home from work, I found my son stretched out on the recliner, watching television.

He had leash in hand while the dog trotted happily away on the treadmill.
